Point of care
Fighting AMR demands evidence-based diagnostic decisions to adapt the prescription of antibiotics to the individual infectious episode. Having a phenotypic AST in less than one hour would greatly contribute to this goal. The PA-100 AST System has come to allow exactly this in the near-patient testing.
Haematology
Beside the common CBC parameters, modern haematology analysers, such as the Sysmex XN-Series, can measure activation of immune cells. This information helps to understand the status and pattern of immune response.
