FIT screening

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers. The good news is that CRC incidence and mortality can be reduced significantly if detected early enough.

Faecal immunochemical tests (FIT) are non-invasive and can detect blood in stool invisible to the naked eye. Due to its simplicity, FIT is currently considered the best non-invasive test for CRC screening.

Invest a little time in your own health by taking the FIT to prevent or detect colon cancer early on.

Blood Film Master – Prepare and stain your smears in a masterly fashion

The diagnostic value of blood cell morphology differentials depends directly on the quality of the microscope slide preparation. And this depends on both the smear and staining processes. The Blood Film Master helps you optimise both.

Blood films prepared in this way are well suited for both manual differentiation and for automatic analysis with the Sysmex DI-60 digital imaging system and the (digital morphology) systems of the CellaVision® DM-series.

HemoSlider – getting blood cells to shape up

HemoSlider – getting blood cells to shape up

The HemoSlider makes producing consistently high quality blood smears easy. With just a single action, the semi-automatic slider distributes the cells evenly on the smear. Thanks to the standard and high quality appearance of the cells, you are assured of improved morphological assessment and therefore comparability among operators and reproducible results. Especially if you use
a standardised staining process.

RAL StainBox plus Kit RAL StainBox MCDh reagents

RAL StainBox plus Kit RAL StainBox MCDh reagents

The semi-automated RAL StainBox is easy to use and produces an optimal staining result for your blood films. Now you can stain smears without worrying about the time. At
each step, the RAL StainBox monitors the exact amount of time slides need to spend in the individual reagent solution – both acoustic and visual signals tell you when to move on to the next step. The entire staining procedure is software-controlled – and even the drying step is incorporated in the stainer. This standardised procedure will help you improve your staining results and your morphology assessments.
The methanol-free reagents Kit RAL StainBox MCDh apply a panoptic staining method similar to the classic Romanowsky stains for blood smears:

  • May-Grünwald – Giemsa (Pappenheim),
  • Wright, or
  • Wright – Giemsa.

You can select different pre-set staining protocols and make adjustments according to your needs. The Kit RAL StainBox MCDh has significant benefits compared to traditional staining methods. You no longer have to face methanol fumes or manually prepare or dilute any of the reagents. And the reagents are stable inside the RAL StainBox for several weeks.
The Kit RAL StainBox MCDh consists of four different components that are ideally matched in terms of their volume and their composition. Each reagent solution is ready-to-use – they are simply loaded into the RAL StainBox. This saves time and material since there is no need for containers or buffer solutions for dilution. Because there are significantly fewer steps, the process is simplified, which means you’ll need less documentation (SOPs, QMS manual) and can enjoy a smoother working environment. And thanks to its smart design, the RAL StainBox requires very low maintenance routines. The ready-to-use Kit RAL StainBox MCDh enhances standardisation by reducing potential errors, for example in manually arranging
reagents, and because blood cells are more uniformly stained. This improves the comparability of the differentiation results.
