FagoFlowEx Kit
What is detected and measured
FagoFlowEx Kit is intended for the determination of phagocytic activity of neutrophil granulocytes by measuring respiratory (oxidative) burst in whole blood by flow cytometry.
The device detects and measures two parameters using the fluorogenic substrate Dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR123):
- Percentage of neutrophil granulocytes that produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in response to ingestion of E. coli bacteria
- Relative intracellular activity of ROS-producing enzymes (Stimulation Index = mean fluorescence intensity ratio of positive neutrophil granulocytes from E. coli stimulated reaction and negative neutrophil granulocytes from negative control reaction.)

Kit components
The reagents are sufficient for the examination of 100 patient samples
- E. coli (5 vials) containing lyophilised E. coli bacteria; each vial is sufficient for stimulation of 20 blood samples.
- DHR123 (5 vials) containing lyophilised dihydrorhodamine 123; each vial is sufficient for staining 60 blood samples.
- Stimulation control (5 vials) containing lyophilised phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate; each vial is intended for 20 positive control tests.
- Lysing Solution (1 bottle) containing 15 ml of ready-to-use solution.
