Infectious diseases

Stopping infectious diseases is among the urgent health challenges that must be advocated for in the next decade, as declared by the World Health Organization (WHO)1. There are many long-term goals to work towards so that we may improve these world health challenges. As a whole, it’s a complicated ordeal, but there are also actionable starting points where Sysmex can provide insight when it comes to infectious diseases. These include:

  • Early identification or exclusion of infectious diseases
  • Differentiation of underlying pathogens
  • Quick disease monitoring
  • Reliable therapy decision support
  • Aid in antimicrobial stewardship

In close collaboration with international research networks as well as our customers, we are striving for the continuous increase of knowledge on infectious diseases. Health care professionals must make difficult therapy decisions every day based on the latest clinical evidence. We feel a responsibility to support them with new knowledge for confident therapy decision making in fighting infectious diseases.
