Data Innovation Lead (f/m/x) – Biomedical Software Solutions
Your responsibilities
As Data Innovation Lead (f/m/x) you will spearhead the data-driven innovation initiatives within our Digital Lab Solutions Division and beyond. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to advance our software applications, utilizing data analytics, machine learning, and emerging technologies. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software developers, and subject matter experts to foster a culture of innovation and ensure the successful integration of data solutions into our software portfolio.
- Lead a growing team of data scientists to develop innovative software applications in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, on topics ranging from predictive maintenance and workflow optimisation to clinical decision support and precision public health
- Develop and implement data science strategies by translating business objectives into data science projects and applying them to existing and future datasets in close collaboration with our Platform & Technology team, global expert groups, and external partners
- Ensure data accessibility and compliance when utilising technical, operational or biomedical data in the context of evolving regulatory frameworks in the EMEA region
- Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and consistency, and utilize advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to contribute to the design of innovative software applications or APIs
- Drive the development of innovative algorithms, models, and proof-of-concept applications that can be integrated into our continuous prototyping and product development pipeline
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data science projects as part of the product discovery process, ensuring that quality standards, budgets and timelines are met
Your profile
- University degree in Data Science, Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science with a focus on software development, preferably in the healthcare or diagnostics industry
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or R, machine learning frameworks, and big data technologies
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing data-driven projects from concept to execution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to extract insights from complex datasets and a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
