FOB Gold scalable solutions
FIT, a faecal immunological test used for CRC screening, detects small amounts of blood invisible to the naked eye in stool samples by using antibodies specific to human haemoglobin. FIT does not require any diet restrictions and only takes a single sample collection procedure. The FIT test’s specificity for haemoglobin and ease of use make it analytically and clinically superior to other faecal occult blood tests (FOBT).
The FIT-based screening test is non-invasive, easy to perform and reliable, and manages to attract high participation rates – the main driver behind the success of any screening programme.
Generally, national or regional governmental administrations assume responsibility for implementing the population-based and organised screening programmes, managing their logistics, financials and efficiency in close cooperation with selected partners, such as the laboratories that provide the FIT test results.
Our customer-centric approach focuses on laboratories’ main challenges of processing samples quickly and cost efficiently while maintaining a standardised, high analytical quality. We are experienced in collaborating with national and regional organisations, and with laboratories to address and solve these challenges.
We provide unique FIT testing solutions for screening both asymptomatic populations (use of FIT as rule-in testing) and symptomatic patients (using FIT as rule-out testing).
The unique features of our universal FOBGold assay tubes make our FIT test suitable for the widest possible range of lab settings and clinical needs. We offer two versions of the FOB Gold tube: open and pierceable.
You can place the FOB Gold pierceable tube on the stand-alone faecal analysers SENTiFIT 270 and SENTiFOB, and for high-throughput needs on a total laboratory automation (TLA) solution offering walk-away operation.
The FOB Gold open tube can be placed on the majority of clinical chemistry analysers existing in routine labs, offering you maximum flexibility.
